Behavioral Technology for a New You

My CV would back up the idea that I am well versed in behavioral psychology.

My life would deny that fact entirely.

Although I can recite to you the definitions and the authors of all the words and all the articles that describe how to design your life to be the best you that you can be, I am very much out of practice.

Instead of reciting those facts and figures to you, I shall convey them in a digestible way so that maybe you can practice them more than I have.

I want to focus on self-management since that is clearly lacking in education from both parents and teachers. All you lazy slobs should find that topic incredibly beneficial.

Once you graduate from self-management, you might just have the capabilities and the rights to manage others. Yes, there is technology to change other people’s behaviors, too.

Before you start searching the app store for behavioral technology, let me give you a basic understanding of what I mean by “technology.”

Wikipedia says “Technology can be the knowledge of techniques, processes, and the like…” Here, I mean precisely that. Behavioral technology is a collection of techniques  that you can employ to predict and control behavior – yours, your roommate’s, your mother-in-law’s, and your chihuahua’s.

Stay tuned for the magic.
